15 barefoot minutes on the treadmill. After yesterday, I considered taking it easy today. But I was determined to get that first-ever sub-10 minute mile. And I did, albeit barely: maximum speed was around 7.4 mi/hr, and the mile time was a few seconds shy of 10 minutes (going to go with probably 9:54). Also: I figured out how fast I need to run for the pedometer to go flying off my shorts. That being said, now the bottoms of my feet hurt—not quite blisters, but a little bit like that—especially on the left foot.

15 barefoot minutes on the treadmill. As if making up for yesterday, started off with the pace cranked to 6.0 mi/hr. What was I thinking? That that was the only way to get a mile in under 10 minutes. And somehow the mile time was still around 10:15. Lame.

An hour and forty-five minutes at the rock gym after work. Even managed a 5.11- and a couple of 5.10 routes; plus a couple of 5.9s that may have been sand-bagged (one that was even labeled “5.9++”).

15 minutes on that treadmill. Barefoot. I slept in a little today; it the snooze—I did not want to get up and run. But I ran. I’m glad I did. But mostly because I think that’s the first time I’ve ever hit four days in a row.
