15 minute morning run. A little bit of a different loop than usual. Chilly out there this morning, but it felt pretty good.

Took a walk with H. after our dinner. Just a quick walk around the neighborhood, but H. found a little side-road that we had not explored before. Whole walk took about 40 minutes.

Morning run. Loop usually takes about 15 minutes; this morning was just over 13. Kept up a decent pace, I thought. Especially considering that I had just done a treadmill run last night.
Pedometer app says I burned 166 calories.

15 minutes on the treadmill to stay out of that Irene rain. (Just felt like I needed some… activity.)
Treadmill says I burned 220 calories. (Not sure if I believe that.)
1.28 miles; pace was 5.12 mi/hr.

15 minute morning run. This one I… did not hate. My arches weren’t killing me like they were last time or two. And I only got ever so slightly winded right there at the end. I mean… I did take it a bit more easy on myself, but not that much more.
Pedometer app says I burned 183 calories.
1.50 miles; pace was 6.00 mi/hr.

1 hour at the climbing gym tonight. We petered out early, but I’d like to think we went at it pretty hard for that hour. (Tried that 5.12 again but didn’t get but maybe 4 or 5 moves into it. Something threw me off. Oh well.)

Morning run. Felt like a little tiny mouse running on gigantic elephant legs. Felt slow, and at the end I felt winded. I had to sit down. But I did that loop in 14 minutes.
Pedometer app says I burned 187 calories.
1.52 miles; pace was 6.51 mi/hr.

Morning run; looped out of the neighborhood into the town center and back around. Arches hurt a bit at the end there so I toned the running down to a walk at the 15 minute mark.
Pedometer app says I burned 209 calories.
1.46 miles; pace was 5.84 mi/hr.
If you count the cool-down run:
1.78 miles; pace was 5.21 mi/hr.

90 minutes of gym climbing. A bunch of new routes, so we kept mostly to the new routes—and most of those were 5.9 and 5.10. A third joined us for a bit and he talked us into working on a 5.12 with him. (He sent it, neither of us did.) But damn fun.

Lunch time walk; about an hour. Needed the fresh air and sunlight. (Running on 3 miserable hours of sleep here.)

First run in over a week. Just under 15 minutes around the neighborhood (13:46); went the reverse direction as I usually do—forgot that that puts the big hill front-and-center of the run.
Pedometer app says I burned 170 calories.
1.37 miles; pace was 5.98 mi/hr.

60 minutes of yoga makes up for missing my run?

Not caught up on sleep in the first place + middle of the night crying jags by our 3 year old = a real kink in the chain of my good intentions here

Climbing. Hour and a quarter or hour and a half… thereabouts. Pretty good considering that we didn’t make it to the gym last week. (Those weeks off are always killer.) But 5.8’s and …9’s, and a couple 5.10 routes. But a good time, and happy about how things went.

Biking around town. About an hour’s worth of riding (50 minutes) but with relatively frequent stops: a couple parks, the grocery store, a National Guard community outreach event…
Pedometer app says I burned 277 calories. (Felt like more.)
5.40 miles; average pace was 6.48 mi/hr.

Climbing partner bailed on me for climbing last night; then I slept through my alarm again this morning. I must need this sleep pretty badly, but it also makes me feel like I suck at exercise.

Pedometer app crashed before it could submit the data but… 30 minute walk at lunchtime.
1.17 miles; pace was 2.34 mi/hr.

After a walk and a bike ride yesterday, I was tempted to skip again this morning. But a promise is a promise?
And here comes my usual parade of laments about how I don’t like running until after I’ve gone running and then it isn’t even really liking the running so much as feeling good after the run.
Anyway:
15 minutes at a run; 1.50 miles; pace was 6.00 mi/hr.
Then 3 more...

3.14 miles round trip; pace was 6.28 mi/hr.
(What was all that about slacking earlier this morning?)

Forty-five-ish minute lunchtime walk; not so slacking after all?

OK, I’ll admit it. I skipped my runs on this past Thursday, and Friday, and again this morning. My aversion to running seems to have caught up with me. Oh, I’ve got excuses… Thursday’s was that I’d just come down off of three straight days of vigorous exercise. Friday’s was that I was going to be climbing Camel’s Hump on Saturday anyway. (Saturday we did...
