Morning treadmill run. 15 minutes. Thought I’d really crank it up. Hit the mile after 9:45, which I know is not amazing but is good for my slow ass. Imagine my disappointment when my total distance was only 0.04 miles greater than yesterday.
Treadmill says I burned 261 calories.
1.54 miles; average pace was 6.16 mi/hr.

Morning treadmill run. Barefoot. The usual. 15 minutes. I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: that live version of “Juanita/Kiteless” on Everything Everything is some serious goddamn magic.
Treadmill says I burned 254 calories. (Beginning to this the treadmill way over-calculates these; the pedometer app estimate for this time/distance combination was 189 calories.)

The “usual” barefoot 15 minutes on the treadmill this morning. Except this time I decided to boost my speed by about 25% about halfway through the run. Kind of weird how different it felt to run, but how little difference it seemed to make in the numbers. [1]
Treadmill says I burned 247 calories.

Climbing gym. It was crowded. The climbing went on. About an hour and a half or so.

Cold again this morning. And is that a light dusting of… snow? (Those chirping birds must be hella confused.) Seems I missed my chance to run outside, at least for another couple weeks. Anyway: 15 barefoot minutes on the treadmill.

Last night: walked from work (and back) to the place where we were doing a little team dinner. 36 minutes round trip.

Tonight: climbing at the rock gym. Warmed up on some 5.8s. Then a bunch of make-me-feel weak routes in the 5.10 range. But I finished most of them. Then down a notch or three to cool down and just focus focus focus on breathing and foot position.
