15 minute barefoot treadmill run, but much later in the morning than usual. Like 11am instead of 6am. Maybe that made a difference? It felt like it flew by, and I felt like I could maintain a much higher pace throughout.

Pedometer app estimates 194 calories burned.

Climbing tonight. About two hours? Less than that maybe? Anyway: made it to the gym; first time since the new baby came along. Mostly 5.8 and 5.9 routes. Felt good, got tired. Fingers hurt a little.

Managed to fit in a run this afternoon. The first outdoor run of the outdoor running season. 14:11 to do the loop.

Pedometer app says I burned 192 calories.

Checking in, re: a sort-of-hiatus.

New baby in the house. Thursday morning our new son was born. This is wonderful and but also all kinds of routine-busting. Number one routine busted so far? The exercise routine. I’ll be back ASAP, but in the meantime… hold that thought.

Morning. Treadmill. Run. Barefoot. 15 minutes. Most of it dragged. This morning: just fighting through it. All kinds of mental fatigue (understandable) and physical exhaustion (less explicable).

15 minutes this morning. Treadmill. Barefoot. Different music today though. First eight or so minutes flew by without my notice; the remainder did drag, though.

Pedometer app says I burned 178 calories.

1.39 miles; average pace was 5.56 mi/hr.

Side note: on Tuesday, I walked from my house to The Boy’s preschool to pick him up, and I kicked on the pedometer app while I was at it. I forgot to turn it off, however — and boy did it run down my phone’s battery yesterday. So… there’s an exercise session lost.

Tonight: climbing, about 2 hours. Good number of routes, and mostly solid performance across all. Happy with tonight (though a little crowded).

Morning treadmill run. Barefoot. 15 minutes. For once, I didn’t restart Everything Everything.

Given up on the treadmill’s calorie burn estimates; pedometer app on the other hand seems more reasonable: 176 calories. (Not that I’m counting these.)
